Rene Thomas Smey, OTR/L is a board-certified occupational therapist who received her Master of Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California in 2007. Rene spent her early career in San Francisco, CA absorbing the rich learning opportunities a large city has to offer. She spent formative years at the Kalmanowitz Child Development Center at California Pacific Medical Center, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFGH) and Samuel Merritt University growing her skill set and experience in clinical and academic settings.

Occupational therapy assessments and evaluations with Rene Thomas Smey, OTR/L are priced at $250 per session. Follow-up treatment sessions will be conducted by Sarah Schwing, COTA-L (pediatric OT)

Rene Thomas Smey, OTR/L is a board-certified and registered Occupational Therapist with comprehensive training in rehabilitation approaches that span diverse healthcare settings and populations. Rene’s background includes experience from the NICU to the ICU, outpatient hand and neurological rehabilitation to corporate workplace wellness, community mental health to jail and acute psychiatry; with all ages from neonates to older adults 100+. Drawing from extensive experience across the lifespan she offers personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique occupational needs.
